Class Structure: 
We aim to complete a project every week that kids can take home. Projects are designed to appeal to this young age group with lots of fun characters, animals, etc. We focus on tactile materials and processes that stir up curiosity and excitement.  Art you can play with and tell stories with. 
 
Learning goals: 
Cultivate enthusiasm and confidence. Practicing creative decision making and problem solving. Improving hand eye coordination and fine motor skills. Learning to understand art as a process (thinking in steps). Handling materials responsibly (being careful with scissors, using paint and brushes properly, proper grip and pressure on pencils, markers, etc.)
 
Materials: 
We may use any of the following in our projects: acrylic paint, watercolours, air dry clay, markers, pastels, pencils, foam, felt, glue, pom poms, pipe cleaners, beads, collage papers, and more.

All materials are supplied. We have aprons in the studio for protecting the children's clothing when using messier materials like acrylic paint, but always recommend that parents avoid dressing their kids in their best clothes.  
Parents do not need to stay for the entirety of the class as long as their child feels comfortable. Please make sure your contact info is on file if you are dropping off.
